Men’s Golf Finishes Tied for 13th at Houston All American

HATTIESBURG, Miss. – Seniors Thongpipat Rattanayanon and Robbie Latter each fired a final-round 73 to help lead Southern Miss to a 13th-place tie at the Houston All American being played at the Golf Club of Houston in Humble, Texas.
The Golden Eagle duo enjoyed their final round on the par 72, 7,097-yard course, that included three birdies for each player on the last day of the event.
Rattanayanon finished as the highest Golden Eagle individual finishers by tying for 23rd with a five-over 221. Both Latter and Ryan Dupuy, who added a final-round 75, compiled a 223 for a 34th-place tie. Supakorn Amornchaichan fired a final-round 74 to place No. 60 with a 227, while Bennett Ruby carded a 77 over his final 18 holes for a 230 total and a 75th-place tie.
The team collected its lowest round of the tournament over the final 18 holes with a 295 and finished the event with an 891, tying with Rice. Texas Tech won the event with a team score of 871.
A pair of Golden Eagles, Cameron Guidry and Walker Wise, played in an individual tournament. Guidry placed No. 30 with a 54-hole score of 237, while Wise ended his tournament in a 36th-place tie and a 241.
The Golden Eagles return to action when they travel to West Point for the Mossy Oak Collegiate, April 15-16.
