Men’s Golf Finishes Tied for 13th in the Dufner-Tiger Invitational

HATTIESBURG, Miss. – The Southern Miss men's golf team finished tied for 13th in the 54-hole Dufner-Tiger Invitational Tuesday behind a strong final-round play from both Ryan Dupuy and Thongpipat Rattanayanon.
Both Dupuy and Rattanayanon fired a 75 over the final circuit played at the par 72, 7,591-yard Auburn University Club, and the Golden Eagles shot their best team round of 306 in the event to finish with an overall score of 935. The team tied with Northern Illinois in the final team standings.
Dupuy completed the tournament tied for No. 24 with a 12-over 228, while Rattanayanon was next in a 32nd-place tie with a 230.
Robbie Latter and Supakorn Amornchaichan each shot a 78 over their final 18 holes to place tied for No. 56 and No. 77, respectively. Latter ended the event with a 236, while Amornchaichan tallied a 243. Bennett Ruby completed the Golden Eagle scoring with a last round of 83 to complete his tournament with a 247.
Host Auburn won the event by shooting a 16-over 880. They defeated second-place Florida Gulf Coast by 15 strokes at 895. Both Elon and UNCW tied for third at 902. The Auburn (B) squad finished in fifth with a 903.
The Golden Eagles return to action at the All-American, March 18-19, in Houston, Texas.
