Final Round of Dorado Beach Collegiate Washed Out; Southern Miss Finishes 12th

HATTIESBURG, Miss. – The final round of the Dorado Beach Collegiate was canceled Tuesday due to rain, making the course unplayable, and Southern Miss men's golf finished 12th in the 17-team event.
Being played at the par 72, 7,112-yard TPC Dorado Beach-Sugarcane Course, the Golden Eagles top finisher was Supakorn Amornchaichan with a 136 total that placed him in an 11th place tie. Amornchaichan's scores did not count towards the team total as he was playing as an individual.
Both Bennett Ruby and Ryan Dupuy ended with a 140-stroke total, which ranks tied for 28th, while Robbie Latter's 143 put him in a tie for 53rd. Guidry ended in a 73rd-place tie with a 36-hole score of 146 and Rattanayanon was one stroke back at 147 and in an 81st-place tie.
Host UNCG won the the event with a 37-under 539, leading second-place Ball State (548) by nine strokes. Kent State holds third with 551, while West Virginia and UTSA round out the top five with a tie at 552.
The Golden Eagles had a two-round score of 568.
Southern Miss returns to action March 11-12 at the Dufner-Tiger Invitational set at Auburn, Ala.
