Blinova Highlights Women's Tennis' Outing at UNF Fall Invite

JACKSONVILLE, Fla.-Junior Angelina Blinova led the way for Southern Miss women's tennis at the UNF Fall Invite in Jacksonville, Fla. this weekend, securing two victories in an impressive showing against a strong field of opponents.

Blinova earned her two wins in singles, including a 6-1, 6-3 victory against South Florida's Margherita Marcon on Saturday and a thrilling three-set triumph against Furman's Jess Dawson (6-3, 6-2, 6-2) to conclude the Golden Eagles' time at the UNF Fall Invite.

Blinova has been a standout in Southern Miss' fall season, delivering two wins in each of her outings at the ITA Southern Regionals Tournament and the Blazer Battle Invitational.

Southern Miss was represented by juniors Blinova and Hannah Chambers, along with freshmen Gagana Mohan Kumar and Jordan Parker.

Chambers earned the Golden Eagles' other victory of the weekend Friday morning, defeating South Florida's Gargi Pawar in three sets (6-2, 7-5, 6-0).
