
Beach Volleyball Welcomes Four Newcomers for the 2025 Season

HATTIESBURG, Miss. – Southern Miss beach volleyball heads into fall competitions with 14 players on its roster. The Golden Eagles welcomed four newcomers to the Hub City on last year's national signing day with all four set to make their Division I debut this season, beginning with the team's fall exhibition slate.

Prior to Southern Miss: Earned four letters across indoor and beach volleyball … As a freshman, played on both teams for the Spartanburg Methodist College Pioneers … Led the Pioneers to a 10th-place finish at the NJCAA National Tournament … On the court, she played in 72 sets across 21 matches and helped the team to a runner-up finish in the FCSAA/NJCAA Division II Gulf District Tournament … As a sophomore, she transferred to Palm Beach State College where she again lettered on the court and in the sand … Propelled the beach volleyball team to a NJCAA national championship and earned Most Valuable Pair of the National Tournament honors.

2023-24 (Sophomore // Palm Beach State College): Played for NJCAA National Champion Palm Beach State College (Lake Worth, Fla.) … One of the Lady Panthers' three pairs that won their duals to clinch the title … Named as Most Outstanding Pair of the Tournament alongside teammate Ana Paula Fallas Cruz … The Lady Panthers finished the 2024 season 23-8 overall and 6-1 in FCSAA play … In the national championship tournament at the John Hunt Complex in Huntsville, Ala., PBSC swept Gaston College (5-0), Mesa Community College (5-0), Bryant & Stratton College (5-0), Sandhills Community College (5-0), Lake-Sumter State College (3-0) and Richard Bland College (3-0) to clinch their second-straight national championship.
2022-23 (Freshman // Spartanburg Methodist College): Made her beach volleyball debut at Spartanburg Methodist College (Saxon, S.C.) … In one season with the Pioneers, Michalska played on a squad that finished 18-16 overall and 5-1 in conference play … The Pioneers competed in the NJCAA for the classification's first season sponsoring beach volleyball … SMC finished 2-3 at the national championship tournament good enough for a 10th-place finish.
Indoor Volleyball Career
2023-24 (Sophomore // Palm Beach State College): Played in 21 matches for the Lady Panthers, appearing in a total 72 sets … Averaged 3.31 kills per set to finish the season with 238, setting a new career-high while leading the team … Her 37 service aces and 241 digs also led the team … She finished the year with 280 total points for an average of 3.9 per set.
2022-23 (Freshman // Spartanburg Methodist College): Tallied 182 kills across 75 sets and 26 matches for the 21-12 Pioneers … Averaged 2.43 kills per set over the season with a career-high 14 at Catawba Valley Community College (Oct. 8) … Also recorded 37 service aces and held a .196 hitting percentage as an outside hitter … Finished the season with 182 digs … Team fell in the first round of the 2022 NJCAA Division I Southeast District B Championship to Miami Dade College.
