Players Enjoying Collegiate Summer League Action Across Country (7/24)

HATTIESBURG, Miss. – Nine current, and two incoming Southern Miss baseball players, continue playing in collegiate summer leagues, as Golden Eagle newcomers Billy Butler (Foster, R.I.) and Nolan Tucker (Cedar Lake, Ind.) join the list.
Six players have seen action in the New England Collegiate Baseball League team rosters, while three have been showcasing their skills in the Cape Cod League rosters with one each in the Prospect League and Alaska Baseball League.
Matthew Etzel, who was playing in the Cape Cod League for the Chatham Anglers, signed last week with the Baltimore Orioles after getting taken in the 10th round by the organization earlier this month.
