Tanner Hall Earns First-Team All-America Honors by the NCBWA

HATTIESBURG, Miss. – Southern Miss junior right-hander pitcher Tanner Hall (Zachary, La.) earned his second first-team All-America honor Wednesday by being honored by the National Collegiate Baseball Writers Association.
Hall, the first Golden Eagle to ever earn first-team honors in consecutive seasons, registered a 12-4 record with a 2.48 earned run average in 2023. He fanned 124 batters and walked 33 in 112 1/3 innings. Hall's win total ranks second in school history for a season, while his 22 career victories rank tied for seventh at the school. He also holds a third-place tie in career strikeouts with 302 at Southern Miss.
This is the second All-America honor for Hall, who was named to the first team by Collegiate Baseball earlier this month. Hall also garnered ABCA/Rawlings first-team all-region honors on Tuesday.
Hall earned the 2023 Sun Belt Conference Pitcher of the Year award, as he was the only pitcher in the league to win nine of his 10 conference starts. The three-time Sun Belt Pitcher of the Week also captured the Guardian Credit Union Sun Belt Championship Most Outstanding Player.
