Dylan Evans and Icie Cockerham Earn Sun Belt Postgraduate Scholarships

NEW ORLEANS -- Southern Miss men's track & field athlete Dylan Evans and women's golfer Icie Cockerham were announced as two of the eight recipients of the Sun Belt Postgraduate Scholarship, per a release by the conference office on Thursday.
Cockerham was a two-year letterwinner at Southern Miss after transferring from William Carey. The Mississippi native graduated with a Bachelor's in Accounting with a 3.86 GPA. She will begin her Master's of Accountancy this fall at Southern Miss with aspirations to become a Certified Public Accountant.
Evans, a four-year letterwinner in men's track and field, graduated with his Bachelor of Arts in Political Science with minors in Business Administration and Legal Studies with a 4.0 GPA. He intends to pursue his Juris Doctorate at Baylor.
The scholarships are awarded to selected student-athletes with stated intentions to pursue a graduate degree following the completion of their undergraduate requirements and are sent directly to the graduate school of each recipient's choice. The recipients were selected by the Sun Belt Postgraduate Scholarship Committee, which is comprised of Faculty Athletic Representatives from across the conference.
