Cameron Clarke Continues Play at NCAA Auburn Regional Tuesday

HATTIESBURG, Miss. – Southern Miss graduate transfer Cameron Clarke (Pittsboro, Miss.) shot a second-round 77 at the NCAA Auburn Regional Monday in Auburn, Ala., to hold down a 54th-place tie.
The event, being played at the par 72, 7,560-yard Auburn University Club, continues with the final round Wednesday with 18 more holes as Clarke looks for the chance to advance to the national championship event set for Grayhawk Golf Club in Scottsdale, Ariz., May 26-31.
Clarke has now registered a 77 in both rounds and has a 154-stroke total in the event.
The second round saw Clarke birdie three holes, but also have three bogeys, one double and one triple in his round. At one point, he collected seven-straight par holes.
Behind a five-round of 283, host Auburn took the lead after the second day with a 575 and lead Chattanooga by one stroke heading into the final round. Christoph Bleier of Colorado State holds the individual lead in the tournament with a seven-under 137.
Clarke will tee off at No. 1 again for his final round with his tee time set for 9:50 am.
