Southern Miss Women's Tennis Closes Regular Season at Home Against Arkansas State

HATTIESBURG, Miss.-- The Southern Miss women's tennis team (6-11, 1-9 Sun Belt) is set to face Arkansas State (2-16, 0-10 Sun Belt) this Saturday, at noon. This will be their last regular season match before heading to the conference championship in Peachtree City, Ga, next week.
The last time these girls hit the court was against South Alabama this past Sunday, resulting in a 5-2 loss.The Golden Eagles were paced by Alyssa Richter as she overcame Nikola Novotna 6-4 and 6-3.Also leading the Golden Eagles was Zenn Lim, who defeated Delien Kleinhans in a trio of matches. The Jaguars would go on to score five points of their own, triumphing over the Black and Gold.
The Black and Gold have not faced Arkansas State since the 2017-2018 season, pulling off a 4-2 win in Fort Worth, Texas. The two teams were scheduled to play in 2020, but the matchups were canceled due to Covid.
The team is slated to take the court at noon at the Southern Miss Tennis Complex on April 22; admission is free.
