
Men’s Golf Returns to Action with the Mossy Oak Collegiate Monday

HATTIESBURG, Miss. – The Southern Miss men's golf team returns to action Monday when they play in the two-day, 54-hole Mossy Oak Collegiate at West Point, Miss.
The Golden Eagles will play at the par 72, 7,212-yard Mossy Oak Golf Club in a shotgun start Monday morning at 8 a.m. and will play 36 continuous holes that day. The event will be completed with 18 more holes Tuesday.
Joining Southern Miss in the impressive 18-team field includes Abilene Christian, Alabama, Auburn, Cincinnati, Kansas State, Lamar, Liberty, LSU, Louisiana, Louisiana Tech, Memphis, Middle Tennessee, host Mississippi State, Ole Miss, Tennessee, Troy and UAB.
Southern Miss will utilize the lineup of graduate transfer Cameron Clarke (Pittsboro, Miss.), juniors Robbie Latter (Mississauga, Ontario), Thongpipat Rattanayanon (Bangkok, Thailand) and Bennett Ruby (Waterloo, Ontario), as well as sophomore Ryan Dupuy (Baton Rouge, La.).
Clarke leads the Golden Eagles in stroke average this season at 70.81 per round over 27 rounds in 2022-23 and includes five Top 10 finishes. Dupuy, who has two individual tournament victories this season, ranks next in stroke average at 71.37, while Latter is at 72.48 and Rattanayanon at 72.89.
The five players have combined for 61 par or below rounds, for 48.8 percent of their combined circuits this season. The team enjoys six finishes of fourth place or better including a pair of tournament victories.
