HATTIESBURG, Miss.-- A few Southern Miss Track and Field members will head to Azusa, Calif., to compete in the Bryan Clay Invitational hosted by Azusa Pacific University at Cougar Stadium April 13-14.

"We are thrilled to have the opportunity to compete with some of the top competitors in the world. We've had a strong start to the season and are eager to build on it," said assistant track and field coach Nick Gibson.

The Black and Gold travel Isabela Ross, Erin Phelps, Smilla Kolbe, and Dylan Evans. Ross and Phelps will open the competition for the Golden Eagles by running the 10K race on Thursday night. Kolbe will participate in the 800-meter run on Friday afternoon and the 1500-meter run on Saturday night. Evans is scheduled to compete in the 800-meter run on Friday night and the 400-meter race on Saturday.

The rest of the team will take the weekend to prepare for the Crimson Tide Invitational on April 21-22 in Tuscaloosa, Ala. Live results can be found here.
