Clarke Finishes in Third as Southern Miss Claims Fourth at Dufner-Tiger Invitational

OPELIKA, Ala. – Cameron Clarke's third-place finish at the Dufner-Tiger Invitational in Opelika, Ala. helped the Golden Eagles claim fourth on the team leaderboard. Auburn, the No. 7 team in the nation, took home the team title with a 31-stroke advantage over the next closest team.
Clarke fired a three-under 69 during his Tuesday round that featured five birdies on the back nine. The Pittsboro, Miss. rattled off birdies on four consecutive holes to reach two-under and then birdied 18 to finish three-under par.
Robbie Latter finished tied for 10th as the junior carded an even-par 72. Latter birdied four of his last seven holes today, including 17 and 18. Ryan Dupuy improved from his 77 on the Monday scorecard to shoot a one-over 73 today. Dupuy matched Clarke's five birdies and had three on the back nine.
Thongpipat Rattanayanon fired a four-over 76 today to finish in a tie for 52nd. Bennett Ruby had a seven-over 79 during his final round that saw him card two birdies. Rattanayanon finished with three on the day.
Latter finished the tournament with 16 birdies to lead the 90-person field. Clarke wasn't far behind with 15 on the week and Dupuy had 12. In total, Southern Miss had six rounds that saw golfers go under par.
The Golden Eagles will have a few weeks off before heading to Houston, Texas for the All American Collegiate at Golf Club of Houston. The two-day event will take place on March 20 and 21.
