Men's Tennis Falls to Troy in Sun Belt Battle

HATTIESBURG, Miss. -- The Southern Miss (6-10, 0-3 Sun Belt) men's tennis team fell 4-0 to Troy (14-4, 2-2 Sun Belt) on Wednesday afternoon at the Southern Miss Tennis Complex. The match is part of Southern Miss' five-match homestand.
The Trojans took an early lead after taking doubles matches on courts two and three. Alan Sanson and Alexander Gima were in a prime position to pick up a win before their match went unfinished at 4-3.
Southern Miss then fell in three consecutive singles matches to allow Troy to claim the final three points it needed for its 14th win of the season. Olimjon Nabiev and Saheb Sodhi were both leading in the second set of their singles matches before going unfinished.
The Golden Eagles will be back in action on Saturday, April 1, as it hosts Old Dominion at 10 a.m. Antoine Audrain, Sanson and Gima will be recognized as part of Senior Day.
