Southern Miss Baseball Summer League Update – July 15

HATTIESBURG, Miss. – Southern Miss baseball players are in action across the country this summer, with five student-athletes still competing for their respective teams.
Matt Adams: Upper Valley Nighthawks, New England Collegiate Baseball League
Season stats (3 games): 0-0, 7.29 ERA, 12.1 IP, 14 H, 10 R, 10 ER, 8 BB, 13 K
Adams picked up a no decision in his last appearance for the Nighthawks, allowing five runs over 4.1 IP with six strikeouts on July 10.
Casey Artigues: Acadiana Cane Cutters, Texas Collegiate League
Season stats (21 games): .200/.316/.200, 11 R, 13 H, 9 RBI, 9 BB, 17 K, 4 SB
Artigues finished his summer reaching base safely in 16 of his 21 games played for the Cane Cutters.
Bryce Fowler: New Market Rebels, Valley League
Hitting stats (28 games): .375/.462/.458, 19 R, 36 H, 4 2B, 3B, 24 RBI, 16 BB, 18 K, 6 SB
Pitching stats (2 games): 0-0, 0.00 ERA, 3.0 IP, 1 H, 0 R, 0 E6 , 0 BB, 1 K
Fowler finished the summer with 24 RBI in 28 games, while earning a pair of saves on the mound for the Rebels.
Tanner Hall: Collegiate National Team, USA Baseball
Hall and team USA earned bronze at Honkbalweek Haarlem in the Netherlands, as the righty picked up a win against Cuba in the group stage, tossing four scoreless innings with seven punchouts in his lone tournament appearance.
Niko Mazza: Wareham Gateman, Cape Cod League
Season stats (5 games): 1-1, 3.37 ERA, 5.1 IP, 6 H, 2 R, 2 ER, BB, 5 K
Mazza made just one appearance for the Gateman over the past week, allowing one run in an inning of work against Cotuit on July 8.
Isaiah Rhodes: Hyannis Harbor Hawks, Cape Cod League
Season stats (4 games): 0-0, 1.68 ERA, 5.1 IP, 9 H, R, ER, 2 BB, 9 K
Rhodes was activated by the Harbor Hawks on July 3 and has allowed just one run over his four appearances. He recorded every out of a 2.1 IP outing on July 7 via strikeout against Wareham. In his last appearance on Wednesday, Rhodes struck out one in an inning of work.
Creek Robertson: Ocean State Waves, New England Collegiate Baseball League
Season stats (29 games): .111/.198/.153, 8 R, 8 H, 3 2B, 4 RBI, 7 BB, 28 K, 4 S
Robertson made four appearances this past week, recording a base hit and scoring a run in a 4-0 victory for the Waves on July 9.
Dalton Rogers: Cotuit Kettleers, Cape Cod League
Season stats (2 games): 0-0, 5.68 ERA, 6.1 IP, 1 H, 4 R, 4 ER, 3 BB, 8 K
Rogers finished the summer fanning eight over a pair of starts for the Kettleers.
Matthew Russo: New Market Rebels, Valley League
Season stats (21 games): .264/.357/.389, 19 H, 3 2B, 2 HR, 10 RBI, 6 BB, 20 K, 3 SB
Russo made a pair of appearances for the Rebels this past week, roping a double and scoring a run in a 7-3 win for New Market on July 8. He followed with a two-hit day in his last start on Wednesday.
