Lynch, Riggins Named to Conference USA Championship All-Tournament Team

HATTIESBURG, Miss. – Southern Miss right-handed pitcher Hunter Riggins and third baseman Danny Lynch were named to the Conference USA Championship, presented by The First, all-tournament team Sunday evening following the completion of the event.
Riggins, who is 8-4 on the year for the Golden Eagles, threw 7 1/3 scoreless innings in a 5-0 victory over Florida Atlantic in which he allowed five hits and three walks, while fanning seven.
Lynch hit safely in all four games and posted a .533 batting average in the tournament going 8-for-15 with four runs, four doubles and an RBI in the event.
The 16 host sites for the NCAA Tournament will be announced at 7:30 p.m., Sunday, while the entire 64-team field takes shape when ESPN 2 holds its selection show at 11 a.m. Monday.
