UTSA Awaits Men's Basketball in C-USA Tournament Opening Round Contest

FRISCO, Texas --Â The Southern Miss men's basketball team arrived in Frisco, Texas late Sunday to begin preparations for its Conference USA Tournament matchup against UTSA on Tuesday night. The Golden Eagles will meet the Roadrunners at The Star for an Opening Round tipoff at 7 p.m. on ESPN+.

Scouting the Roadrunners
- UTSA enters the C-USA Tournament as the sixth seed in the West Division after going 10-21 in the regular season.
- The Roadrunners capped off their season with an 82-71 win over Rice on Saturday afternoon in San Antonio. Erik Czumbel poured in a game-high 22 points for UTSA in the win.
- Jacob Germany leads all UTSA players in scoring at 14.7 points per game. Two other Roadrunners average at least 10 points per game -- Dhieu Deing (14.2) and Jordan Ivy-Curry (13.9). Ivy-Curry is no longer on the UTSA roster, though.
- UTSA faced the top three teams in the West Division in three-straight games before beating Rice on Saturday. All three results in double-digit losses to UAB, North Texas, and LA Tech.
- Steven Henson is in his eighth season with UTSA and has a record of 89-100. He is 7-6 all-time against Southern Miss.
