Golden Eagles Continue Florida Swing at FAU Saturday Afternoon

BOCA RATON, Fla. --Â Just days removed from a hard-fought battle at FIU, the Southern Miss men's basketball team will continue its Florida swing at FAU on Saturday afternoon. The Golden Eagles (6-15, 1-7 C-USA) will tip against the Owls (13-9, 6-3 C-USA) at 3 p.m. CST from FAU Arena.Â

The Need to Know
- Southern Miss fell at FIU on Thursday night, 77-67. The Golden Eagles led for 22 minutes until surrendering the lead with four minutes to go in the game.Â
- Tyler Stevenson (21-10) recorded his seventh double in the game and the 15th of his career. Stevenson also moved into 34th all-time on the Southern Miss scoring list. He surpassed Gary Flowers (2009-11) and now has 1,092 career points.Â
- Jaron Pierre, Jr. and Stevenson each went for 21 points. It was Pierre's second-straight come scoring at least 20 points after going for 29 last Saturday against Rice.Â
