Scouting the Miners
• Katia Gallegos is just two assists away from moving into a tie for second on the UTEP all-time assists list. Gallegos has dished out 92 assists this season (3.8 apg). The El Paso product sits in third on the school's all-time list with 371 assists.
• Avery Crouse has posted a field goal percentage of 40 percent or higher in eight of the last nine contests. Since Jan. 20, her field goal percentage has increased from 34.1 percent to 40.3 percent.
• The Miners are undefeated at 5-0 this season when hitting at a greater than 40 percent clip from the 3-point line.
• UTEP has played in three overtime games so far in 2021-22, matching the school record.
A Southern Miss Win Would…
• Keep Southern Miss at the top of the western division in Conference USA.
• Give USM their second-straight win vs. UTEP.
• Keep the Lady Eagles above .500 on the road.
Southern Miss – UTEP Series
• UTEP has had the upper hand thus far in the series dating back to 1993.
• The Lady Eagles rattled off three-straight wins in 2017-18, but the Miners responded by winning five out of the last six between the two teams.
• Southern Miss snapped a four-game skid to the Miners back in January at Reed Green.

• Southern Miss women's basketball picked up a key Conference USA western division victory, defeating UTEP 55-49 at RGC.
• Senior Kelsey Jones broke out with her best game of the season, recording her first double-double of the year. The Starkville native led all scorers with 16 points to go along with 11 rebounds.
• Domonique Davis joined Jones in double figures going for 13 points and a career-high nine assists.
• Melyia Grayson recorded a career-best six blocks, including four in the first quarter.
