Southern Miss Concludes Season with Defeat to No. 14 FAU in CCSA Championships

HUNTSVILLE, Ala. -- The Southern Miss beach volleyball team concluded its third season on a solid note, claming its first two CCSA Championships wins Friday before ultimately falling to No. 14 Florida Atlantic, 5-0, on Saturday.
It was the first-ever meeting between the two schools as well. The Owls jumped out early and never looked back.
Southern Miss finished the season 11-26, which matched its most wins in a season but also against its toughest schedule to date.
1. Grandy/Wilson (USM) fell to Morris/Brok (FAU) 17-21, 21-19, 13-15
2. Phelan/Hop (USM) fell to Adams/Austin (FAU) 9-21, 17-21
3. Favre/Garraway (USM) fell to Cangelosi/Dorish (FAU) 12-21, 16-21
4. Lawler/Hepworth (USM) fell to Pesante/Bouffard (FAU) 19-21, 16-21
5. Siakidou/Norman (USM) fell to Moon/Jackson (FAU) 10-21, 17-21
