Men’s Tennis Sets for the C-USA Tournament

HATTIESBURG, Miss. – As the No. 6 seed, the Golden Eagles will begin the C-USA Tournament facing off against the No. 3 seed Florida Atlantic University in Charlotte on Friday at 10 a.m. (ET). The Golden Eagles are nationally ranked at No. 78 and have the highest winning percentage in the C-USA at .778. Southern Miss remains undefeated on the road this season at 3-0.
Golden Eagles' season in review
Southern Miss (7-2) finished off the regular season claiming victory in three of their last four matches. The Golden Eagles began their season recording four straight victories and posting the best start to a season since 2005. Southern Miss has seen superior play from transfers Olimjon Nabiev and Alan Sanson who have combine to earn the Golden Eagles 12 singles victories. Christopher Cahour has dominated singles competition with a season record of 6-2. The duo of Alexander Gima and Matthieu Peres have been a cornerstone in doubles and with a record of 6-2 have solidified many Golden Eagle victories. The men's tennis squad concludes regular season play claiming huge victories over UAB and Jacksonville State.
