Southern Miss Men’s Tennis Defeats Jacksonville State and Remains Undefeated on the Season

HATTIESBURG, Miss. – The Golden Eagles advance to 3-0 after beating Jacksonville State 4-3 in Saturday's match.

"The team showed a good fighting spirit," head coach Zubin Engineer said. "We came back from a 3-0 deficit to clinch a 4-3 victory."

Doubles
Matthiu Peres and Alexander Gima stood tall for Southern Miss winning the only doubles match of the day for the Golden Eagles. The pair ended with a 7-5 victory.

Singles
Southern Miss won Saturday's contest by competing and challenging their opponents.

Olimjon Nabiev had a standout performance winning each of his sets 6-4. Antoine Audrain followed suit by winning his match 6-2 & 6-3.

France native, Christopher Cahour remains a cornerstone for the men's tennis squad winning his match and solidifying the win for the Golden Eagles.

The Golden Eagles came back from an 0-3 deficit to defeat Jacksonville State and remain undefeated on the 2021 season.
