Southern Miss Produces Most-Improved Round of Season

GREENSBORO, Ga. -- Friend Chompitakdacha moved into a tie for 19th with a 4-over 76 as every Golden Eagle improved their score on the second day of the Reynolds Lake Oconee Invitational on Saturday.
Chompitakdacha is seeking her second-career, top-20 finish. Another notable perfomer was Tenley Moretti, whose 79 marked a team-best seven-stroke improvement.
As a team, the 15-stroke slash marked its best jump of the season (11 strokes twice before) as well as the current field. It now sits nine behind Chattanooga and 10 from James Madison.
Sunday marks the third and final round, which has been Southern Miss' best in three of its four events.
