Quotable from the Golden Eagles
Head Coach Zubin Engineer
"This is the biggest tournament of the year and it's the first time we have qualified since I have been here. It's a great honor to go and I think our guys are ready for it. The play here will be some of the best we will see all season, so we must be prepared. The guys have played great the first two tournaments and we look to continue that strong play this weekend."
Junior Alexander Gima
"The team has been working hard these last couple of months knowing that we will be playing in the ITA All-America. I think that we can do really well with what we have done to prepare up to this point."
Graduate Student Dhruv Sunish
"The season has been great and educational so far and it's only going to get better. The All-America coming up is a great opportunity for us to get on court and to put our training to use and get the best out of it."
Junior Christopher Cahour
"I am very glad about how the fall started so far. Last year we played only one tournament the whole semester because of COVID and we have already played two tournaments so far. Everyone has been doing great the last two weeks and we had some good wins. Today we are leaving to play in the All-America in Tulsa and I am very excited to play amongst players from all over the country. It will be a great opportunity to represent Southern Miss and to show what we can do."
