All-Berry Team Announced

Almost 10,000 votes helped make up the 16-member team.
HATTIESBURG, Miss. – After almost a three-week long voting process that took place over twitter and at SouthernMiss.com, the All-Berry Team was announced Thursday afternoon.
From 2010-2020 under current Golden Eagle baseball coach Scott Berry, the team consisted of one position player at each fielding spot, a designated hitter, a utility player, four starting pitchers, a middle reliever and a closer.
Almost 10,000 votes were cast for the 16-position team and the team could not come together without the fans that have seen them play over the last decade. Three members of the team received over 88 percent of the vote during their respective polling periods.
The All-Berry Team included accolades during the team's playing days were one national Pitcher of the Year, one national Freshman of the Year, 31 total All-America nods and nine Freshman All-America selections. As for Conference USA honors, there were four total Pitcher of the Year honors, one Hitter of the Year award, one Freshman of the Year pick and a sum of 22 first-team all-league picks. Twelve of the players who finished their careers as Golden Eagles were drafted by Major League Baseball organizations.
