Lady Eagles Set for Final Home Game Against FAU

Southern Miss will face the Owls at 6 p.m. in Reed Green Coliseum.
HATTIESBURG, Miss. – The Lady Eagles return home to Reed Green Coliseum for the last home game to take on the Owls of Florida Atlantic for the second time this season, with this game being a part of the final four scheduled by the Conference. Tip is set for 6 p.m. on Thursday evening.

Southern Miss Athletics continues its Help the Lady Eagles Reach New Heights ticket promotion, with the last home game against FAU being senior Amber Landing. Landing stands at 6'4", so her ticket price is $6.04.
The Rundown
The Lady Eagles (14-13, 6-10) face Florida Atlantic (12-15, 6-10) for the Thursday matchup, with both sitting tied for No. 8 in the Conference along with Marshall. Both Southern Miss and Marshall lead the tiebreaker against FAU.
Southern Miss comes off a hard-fought loss to UTEP where freshman Liz Gibbs put up 21 points, with eight-straight coming in the first quarter, in her first career start. Respect Leaphart and Kelsey Jones both recorded double-doubles with 17 and 11 points respectively, and both with 11 rebounds. The Lady Eagles have now been without senior Shonte Hailes for seven games, and were without sophomore Daishai Almond on Saturday against UTEP. The Lady Eagles are now on a losing streak of two after falling to both UTEP and Charlotte.
The Owls continue to be led by Crystal Primm in both points and rebounds and by Lotta Vehka-Aho in assists. FAU comes to Hattiesburg on a two-game loss streak, with the most recent being to C-USA's leader ODU in Norfolk, 49-60.
