Softball Doubleheader Versus Alcorn State Postponed

The Golden Eagles and the Lady Braves were originally scheduled to play at 4:00 p.m. and 6:00 p.m. today at the Southern Miss Softball Complex.
HATTIESBURG, Miss. – Today's doubleheader between the Southern Miss (4-3) and Alcorn State (5-7) softball teams has been postponed due to inclement weather.
The Golden Eagles and the Lady Braves were set to play two games today at the Southern Miss Softball Complex in Hattiesburg. Game one was scheduled for 4:00 p.m. and game two was scheduled for 6:00 p.m.
Southern Miss and Alcorn State will makeup the doubleheader next Wednesday (Feb. 26). Game one is scheduled for 4:00 p.m. and game two is scheduled for 6:00 p.m. Both games will be played at the Southern Miss Softball Complex.
Southern Miss' makeup doubleheader versus Alcorn State will be streamed on C-USA TV and SIDEARM live stats will also be provided. The Voice of Southern Miss softball, Jason Baker, will be on the call for the Southern Miss Sports Network from Learfield IMG College on 92.7 The Score FM. Mackenzie Hamilton will be providing color commentary for the broadcast. After the doubleheader, a full recap of both games will be posted to SouthernMiss.com along with final stats.
Southern Miss will return to action on Saturday (Feb. 22) when they begin play in the Michelle Short Memorial Classic hosted by Central Arkansas in Conway, Ark. On Saturday, Southern Miss will take on Jackson State (4-5) at 3:00 p.m. and Arkansas – Pine Bluff (0-9) at 5:45 p.m. On Sunday, Southern Miss will finish the tournament with a 9:00 a.m. contest against Morehead State (2-2) and a 1:30 p.m. matchup against Central Arkansas (7-4). All games will be played at Farris Field on the campus of Central Arkansas.
