Southern Miss Freshmen Men’s Golfers Among Nation’s Best This Season

HATTIESBURG, Miss. – Both Robbie Latter (Mississauga, Ontario) and Thongpipat Rattanayanon (Bangkok, Thailand) have enjoyed successful freshman campaigns for Southern Miss men's golf, earning the duo the ninth-best freshman group in the country according to the latest statistics provided by GolfStat.
The pair average 72.83 strokes per round between them, and their relative strength is 285.308, followed closely behind Furman and Tennessee for seventh and eighth place, respectively. Current C-USA member Florida Atlantic ranks first in the listing among Division I schools.
Latter is second on the team in stroke average at 72.44 over 18 rounds of play this season, while Rattanayanon is at 73.00 over 15 circuits.
The Golden Eagles return to action Monday and Tuesday when they to Louisiana to play in the LaTour Collegiate, hosted by Nicholls State.
