Valentina Haupt Named to Conference USA All-Academic Team

HATTIESBURG, Miss. -- Southern Miss senior women's golfer Valentina Haupt, one of the most decorated student-athletes on campus, was named to Conference USA's All-Academic Team on Thursday.
Haupt is majoring in sport management and boasts a 3.915 GPA. She is a three-time WGCA All-American Scholar and is also serving as this year's Student-Athlete Advisory Committee (SAAC) President.Â
Haupt has missed just one tournament in her four-year career and is tied for third in school history with 112 career rounds (three behind the school record set in 2000). Her 76.38 stroke average is No. 5 in program history. Her top finish this year was a 2-under 214 (all rounds par or better) for fifth-place at the FIU Pat Bradley in October. Her career-low, 4-under 68 at the season-opening USA Intercollegiate helped the Golden Eagles to a school-record 872.
Southern Miss' next action will be at the Conference USA Championships in Fort Myers, Fla. from Monday through Wednesday.
