
Southern Miss Softball Begins C-USA Play at North Texas

The Golden Eagles will take on the Mean Green in a three-game road series.
HATTIESBURG, Miss. – The Southern Miss Golden Eagles (10-8) will travel to Denton, Texas for their first C-USA series of the 2019 season.

Southern Miss will square off against North Texas (11-8) in a doubleheader on Saturday, March 9 beginning at 1:00 p.m. (CT). The doubleheader will be followed by a single game at 12:00 p.m. (CT) on Sunday, March 10. The games will be played at Lovelace Stadium.

The last time on the diamond
The Southern Miss softball team was originally scheduled to play a midweek contest against Southeastern Louisiana on Wednesday, March 6 in Hammond, La. but the game was cancelled due to unplayable field conditions.

North Texas currently leads the all-time series 7-5. The Golden Eagles are 4-2 in contests played in Hattiesburg and 1-5 when facing the Mean Green in Denton. The two teams have never met at a neutral site.
