Southern Miss looks to even this season's series against the Lady Techsters.
HATTIESBURG, Miss. – The Lady Eagles take on the Lady Techsters of LA Tech on Saturday afternoon in a double-header with the men's team. Southern Miss plays them for the second time this season when they tip off at 4pm in Reed Green Coliseum.
Busy Day for Southern Miss
It will be a double-header day on Saturday for USM, with the men taking on UAB at 2pm, and the Lady Eagles following them against LA Tech at approximately 4pm. The Lady Eagles will tip off 30 minutes after the completion of the men's game.
There is a BOGO offer happening as well, where if you buy a men's ticket, you will get a women's ticket for free. Parking will open at halftime of the men's game for the women's contest.
The game against LA Tech will be the second game for Seymour's Reading Program, with the top three schools being recognized at halftime.
There will be team autographs and a layup line after the completion of the Lady Eagles' game for all in attendance.
Saturday's game will be a Gold Rush, and all fans are encouraged to come to the Greenhouse wearing gold.
The Series
LA Tech defeated the Lady Eagles just earlier this month, but the Lady Eagles look to add another tally in the win column. Last time out, the Lady Eagles stayed within reach of the Lady Techsters throughout the game, but ultimately fell to LA Tech in the end. Three Lady Eagles finished with double-figure scoring and it was the first 30-point game for a Southern Miss player this season. Shonte Hailes had her third game in a row with 20 or more points.
The Lady Techsters lead the series overall, 9-6, but Southern Miss holds the record when playing in Reed Green, 3-2.
Next Up
The Lady Eagles will take on UTSA on Saturday, March 2 in a 4pm game.
