Two Golden Eagles Named Performers of the Meet by C-USA

C-USA announced two Golden Eagles as Performers of the Meet from the Conference Indoor Championships.

HATTIESBURG, Miss. – McKinely West and John Warren were both named Performers of the Meet by Conference USA on Friday afternoon for their outstanding times and marks at the C-USA Indoor Championships.

McKinely West earned the accolade for Male Track Performer of the Meet. He won both the 60 meter dash and the 200 meter dash, and did so in fine fashion. West tied or bested C-USA meet records in both. In the 60m dash, West set a new record for his time in the prelims at 6.64. For the finals, he tied the previous meet record on his way to earn gold. In the 200m, he earned himself a second gold medal and 10 points for the Golden Eagles, while also setting another C-USA meet record with his time of 20.66.

John Warren was named Male Field Performer of the Meet by the conference. He placed first for his triple jump, recording a distance of 16.29 meters. The senior also placed third in the long jump with a jump of 7.33 meters. Warren tallied a total of 16 points for the Golden Eagles.
