Golden Eagles Finish Play for Idle Hour Collegiate, Fall Season

MACON, Ga. -- The Southern Miss women's golf team played its final round of the Idle Hour Collegiate and fall season as a whole on Tuesday, finishing 12th.
Friend Chompitakdacha posted the best finish on the team, tying for 21st with an 11-over 227. She has placed in the top-25 for three of the team's four fall events.
Valeria Pichardo continued to improve with a tie for 42nd. In consecutive tournaments, she has risen 14 and 18 spots on the leaderboard. On a similar note, Tenley Moretti's top two-career finishes have come in the her last two events, going for 37th in the Magnolia Invitational before 48th this week.
Emily Cox, competing as an individual, cut 16 strokes off her last appearance, the Magnolia Invitational.
The Golden Eagles will begin their spring season Feb. 10-11 at the Texas State Invitational in San Marcos.
