
Chompitakdacha in Top-10 After First Two Rounds in Georgia

HATTIESBURG, Miss. -- Friend Chompitakdacha shot a 4-over 148 over Monday's 36 holes, and the Southern Miss women's golf team held steady in a tie for ninth heading into Tuesday's final round.
Chompitakdacha carded six birdies on the day, a team-high. Valeria Pichardo had a 76 in the second round, her best since a 75 to close out the Lady Paladin Invitational, and had birdies on 17 and 18 in the second round.
There is plenty of room in the middle of the pack with six teams separated by 16 strokes. Third-place Troy sits at 21-over 597, which is 23 strokes ahead of the ninth-place Golden Eagles.
Southern Miss has also improved its tally from its second-to-third rounds in each tourney this year, including by 13 and 16 strokes in the last two tournaments.
Charlotte holds the team and individual lead with a 1-under 576 and Cecilie Finne-Ipsen's 8-under 136, respectively.
The final round will begin with an 8 a.m. ET shotgun start on Tuesday.
