Baseball Scrimmage versus William Carey Sunday at The Pete

HATTIESBURG, Miss. – The Southern Miss baseball team will play host to its lone home scrimmage of the fall practice season, Sunday, Oct. 13, when they take on William Carey University at Pete Taylor Park/Hill Denson Field in a 1 p.m. contest.
The Golden Eagles finished with a 40-21 record last season and captured their third Conference USA tournament title in the last four seasons en route to its fourth-straight NCAA Tournament appearance.
There will be no admission charged for the scrimmage, but donations will be accepted at the front gate on behalf of the "Waiting for a Cure" Foundation, dedicated to helping Mississippians with breast cancer and raising awareness of the potentially deadly disease.
