WEST POINT, Miss. -- Southern Miss improved by 13 strokes between its second and third rounds, and the Golden Eagles finished 11th at the third-annual Magnolia Invitational from the Old Waverly Country Club.
Anticipated Tuesday rain forced the final 36 holes to be played today, and the Black and Gold went for 320 and 307, marking the best single-round improvement of the field.
The nightcap contained several individual improvements, notably Cassidy Evreniadis and Emily Cox trimming eight and 10 strokes, respectively, off their morning scores. Tenley Moretti and Valeria Pichardo also saw decreases of four and five, respectively.
