Tenley Moretti Leads Golden Eagles on First Day of Magnolia Invitational

WEST POINT, Miss. -- Tenley Moretti's 3-over 75 put her in a tie for 21st through the opening round of the stacked Magnolia Collegiate. Due to expected rain on Tuesday, the tournament will conclude with 36 holes on Monday (8:30 a.m. shotgun start).
The Golden Eagles sit in a tie for eighth in a field that features six teams in the top-58.
It marked a career-low for the sophomore transfer from Iowa State, set previously in the season's opening round at the Mercedes-Benz Intercollegiate. She tallied three birdies on the day, bested only by Valeria Pichardo's four.
Pichardo, Cassidy Evreniadis and Friend Chompitakdacha are all tied for No. 32 with a 6-over 78.
Auburn's Megan Schofill holds the individual lead with a 3-under 69, while LSU holds a tourney-best 289.
