Men’s Golf Plays Host to 16th Annual Sam Hall Intercollegiate Starting Monday

HATTIESBURG, Miss. – The Southern Miss men's golf team returns to action Monday and Tuesday when they play host to the 16th annual Sam Hall Intercollegiate at the Hattiesburg Country Club.
The Golden Eagles welcome twelve teams to the Hub City including Bowling Green State, Central Arkansas, Florida Gulf Coast, Mercer, Missouri State, New Orleans, Nicholls, Samford, Southeastern Louisiana, Stephen F. Austin, Troy and Winthrop.
The teams will start play at the par-71, 6,902-yard course Monday at 8:30 a.m., with a shotgun start and featuring 78 golfers. The teams will play 18 more holes on Tuesday to conclude the event starting at 8 a.m., with fixed tee times.
Southern Miss will go with the team of Walker Kesterson, Brian Richards, Derick Kelting, Matt Lorenz and Joey Kirkland. Teammates Nathan Corchis, Charles-Eric Belanger, Philip Heine, Hunter Atkins and Willie Hammond will also play as individuals in the event.
