Women's Tennis C-USA Championship Bracket Set

IRVING, Texas - The 2018 Conference USA Women's Tennis Championship bracket is officially set with the Southern Miss Women's Tennis team earning the No. 8 seed. Old Dominion will host the four-day event, kicking off April 19 at the Folkes-Stevens Tennis Center in Norfolk, Virginia.
First round action commences at 9 a.m. ET with (8) Southern Miss facing off against (9) Charlotte for a chance to play (1) FIU in the quarterfinals. Also at 9 a.m., (7) WKU will square off against (10) Louisiana Tech for a crack at (2) Rice in another quarterfinal bout.
The host (3) Old Dominion will play (14) UTEP while (4) Florida Atlantic and (13) Marshall will meet at 12 p.m. ET. The final two first-round matchups feature (5) Middle Tennessee taking on (12) UTSA and (6) North Texas playing (11) UAB.
Southern Miss enters the C-USA Championship with an 18-5 overall record and a three-match win streak. Elena Roca enters the tournament with a perfect 17-0 singles record, including a straight-set victory over a UAB opponent in the second to last match of the season.
Roca sits at No. 2 in Southern Miss history with most career wins with 71 prior to Thursday's competition.
