
Women's Tennis Win Streak Snapped

NEW ORLEANS, La. - Southern Miss Women's Tennis had its eight-match win streak snapped on Saturday against Tulane in a 4-1 loss.
The Golden Eagles haven't lost since February 28 against Nichols State and end the longest team win streak in Southern Miss history at eight matches.
Southern Miss dropped the doubles point on courts 1 and 3 to head into singles play down a point. Rikeetha Pereira and Claudia Clastella dropped their singles matches on their respective courts (2 and 6) to allow Tulane to jump out to a 3-0 lead.
Elena Roca's unbeaten continued after not finishing her match. Tjasa Jerse picked up the lone win for the Golden Eagles on court 4 with a 6-4, 6-4 win.
Tanit Lopez Lopez dropped the go ahead match for Tulane at No. 3 with a 6-0, 7-6(2) finish.
The Golden Eagles host South Alabama on Wednesday at 2:30 p.m.
Tuesday's match against Alcorn State was postponed.
