Southern Miss Battles in Baton Rouge this Weekend

HATTIESBURG, Miss. - The Southern Miss women's golf team is back is action this weekend in Baton Rouge, La. for LSU's Tiger Golf Classic. The tournament will be played at the University Club of Baton Rouge, a 6,247 yard, par 72 course located south of campus.
The Golden Eagles will compete against LSU, Charlotte, Chattanooga, Houston, Mercer, NC State, Princeton, SMU, ULM, UTSA and Virginia March 23-25.
Interim Head Coach Eddie Brescher named Nichada Satasuk, Valentina Haupt, Emily Cox, Julie Baker and Miranda Holt as the Southern Miss starters for the 54-hole event and Kayla Bloor will join the squad as an individual. The Golden Eagles will be paired with Chattanooga and Charlotte on the first day, teeing off on holes 13-18 every 10 minutes from 8:30 to 9:20 a.m. CT.
Satasuk walked away from Southern Miss' last tournament, the 3M Augusta Invitational, as the team's highest finisher, tying for 20th at 6-over (222) and two weeks ago the senior set the program record for most career rounds of par or better at the SunTrust Lady Gator Invite.
