Baseball Series Finale with UTSA Rained Out

HATTIESBURG, Miss. - The final game of the Conference USA season-opening series between Southern Miss and UTSA was canceled Sunday after steady rains forced the game to be called off.
The Golden Eagles trailed 4-1 to the Roadrunners in the top of the second when the 10 a.m., game went into a delay mode at 10:35 a.m. After a 2 hour, 30 minute delay, it was decided that the game could not continue.
The stats for the contest do not count and the game will not be made up.
Southern Miss returns to action Tuesday when they entertain Southern in a 6 p.m., tilt at Pete Taylor Park. Tickets for the game can be purchased by going online at SouthernMissTickets.com, calling 1-800-844-TICK (8425) or by visiting the Pat Ferlise Ticket Office weekdays between 8 a.m., and 5 p.m.
