Golden Eagles Wrap Up Day One at FSU

TALLAHASSEE, Fla. - The Southern Miss women's tennis team wrapped up day one at the Seminole All-Conference Showdown with mixed results on Friday. At Florida State, the duo of Arina Amaning and Tjasa Jerse will compete in a championship in the Flight D Doubles bracket and Ebru Zeynep Yazgan and Rikeetha Pereira will play in the third place match in the same flight.

The other two pairings each lost their opening round matches. In Singles, Amaning and Jerse each won their opening round battles to advance to the semifinal bout. In Flight J, Anastasija Cobanovic had a free pass and advanced straight to the championship match. Southern Miss' remaining singles players will battle in the consolation bracket tomorrow.
