Southern Miss Showcase Camp Postponed; Baseball Also to Hold Thanksgiving Break Kids Camp

HATTIESBURG, Miss. – The Southern Miss baseball Fall Showcase Camp scheduled for Saturday, Nov. 10, has been moved to Sunday, Nov. 25, due to expected storms that day in the Pine Belt.
The camp will still take place at 12 noon, with sign-in beginning at 11 a.m. It provides a great opportunity for players ranging from high school freshman to junior college sophomores (junior college freshmen must be academic qualifier). Participants will be given a chance to have their skills toned by college coaches receive specific instruction to their defensive position, speed training to improve their 60 time, as well as hitting at Pete Taylor Park. Any pitcher who is a dual player will be able to participate at both positions. Each camper will receive a camp T-shirt. Lunch will not be provided.
The camp will be limited to the first 100 applicants and the cost is $155 per camper.
In addition, the program has announced a Thanksgiving Break Kids Camp, grades kindergarten through eighth, set for Nov. 19-20 from 9 a.m.-12 noon, with registration set for 8:30 a.m., the first day. This camp is a great opportunity to hone fundamental skills before the baseball season begins as well as getting to work with our players and coaching staff.
The cost is $100 and includes a camp T-shirt and will be limited to the first 60 campers.
All camps during the fall will take place at Pete Taylor Park/Hill Denson Field.
Camp registration for all Southern Miss baseball camps can take place at www.southernmissbaseballcamps.com. Walk ups are welcome. Our camps are open to any and all entrants limited only by number, age, grade level and/or gender.
