Beach Team Set for Debut

HATTIESBURG, Miss. - The Southern Miss Beach Volleyball team will finally make its long-awaited debut this weekend for a fall tournament. The duo of Olivia Hepworth and Abbey Wilson will travel south to the Beach Clash in Gulf Shores, Ala. for four matches on Saturday.Â
On top of the Golden Eagles making their program debut in the sand, Wilson and Hepworth are also making their collegiate beach volleyball debuts. Hepworth is a freshman from Gulf Breeze, Fla. and Wilson, who transferred from Carson-Newman's indoor volleyball team, is a sophomore from Columbia, Tenn.
Southern Miss will battle LSU, Florida State, Stetson, and Spring Hill starting at 11 a.m. on Saturday morning.Â
