
Carolin Drescher Named to 2017 CoSIDA Academic All-District Team

HATTIESBURG, Miss. – Carolin Drescher, a member of the Southern Miss women's tennis team, was one of only two Conference USA members to be named to the CoSIDA Academic At-Large All-District teams.
The 2016-2017 College Sports Information Directors of America Academic All-District At-Large teams recognize the nation's top student-athletes for their combined performance athletically and in the classroom.
Drescher, who was also named to the C-USA Second team, went 13-4 this season with 12 of those wins coming at No. 1. The senior also secured a winning season in doubles play at the top spot with a 13-5 record.
Drescher ended her career at Southern Miss with the best career win percentage in doubles play and has the fourth-most wins in singles play with 66 wins.
Drescher holds a 4.0 GPA in kinesiotherapy and earned All-Conference USA honors and ITA All-Academic teams and Scholar Athletes list.
