The Golden Eagles face a UNO team that enters the game with a 9-3 mark after sweeping Alcorn State over the weekend.
In a series that dates back to the 1970 season, this will be the 103rd meeting between the two squads with the Golden Eagles holding a 53-49 advantage. The Golden Eagles have won the last two meetings between the clubs including a 7-4 decision last season in Hattiesburg. The scheduled game in New Orleans was rained out.
Sophomore Hunter Slater continues to lead the Golden Eagles offensively having hit safely in all 11 games this season to post a .429 average with two home runs and a team-best tying 14 RBI.
