Women's Golf Springs Back into Action

HATTIESBURG, Miss. â€" The Southern Miss Women's Golf team springs back into action this weekend at the Kiawah Island Spring Class in Kiawah Island, S.C.
The Golden Eagles are coming off of a fall season that saw first place team victories at the USA Intercollegiate and the Golden Eagle Jam. The team also had a second place finish at the Idle Hour Championship and a fourth place finish at the FIU Pat Bradley Invitational.
Southern Miss, playing in the tournament for the first time in school history, is one of 43 universities from 20 states to compete. The tournament, regarded as the largest in the country, will be played on two courses, Oak Point and Osprey Point. After the first 36 holes are completed on Oak Point, the leading 22 teams will contest for the championship on the Osprey Point course. The remaining teams will vie for a flight championship on the Oak Point course.
