Rikeetha Pereira Advances to the Semifinals Of ITA Southern Regional

AUBURN, Ala. Rikeetha Pereira headlines the Southern Miss women's tennis team as she makes her way to the Semifinals of the ITA Southern Regional.
Pereira advanced to the semis of the ITA Southern Regional after two straight set wins. Pereira defeated Fabrizi of Tulane, 6-4-, 6-3 to advance to the quarterfinals. Pereira then faced M. Palmen of South Alabama and defeated her 7-6, 6-3. Pereira is slated to face Herlina of Troy at 10 a.m. on Sunday morning.
Elena Roca lost her first match in the Regionals in the Round of 16 in the consolation draw. Roca lost in straight sets in a 6-3, 6-4 loss to Karaky of Troy.
Pereira's quarterfinal draw is the only match the Golden Eagles are slated to play on Sunday.
