Fall Tournament Play Continues for Women's Tennis

HATTIESBURG, Miss. – The Southern Miss women's tennis team continues fall tournament play this weekend in Birmingham, Ala. at the Samford Round Robin.
The Golden Eagles join Samford, Tulane, Memphis and UAB for tournament action. The tournament will start with doubles play from Tzu-Hui Chen and Claudia Castella taking on Anki Wind and Josephine Cao from Memphis at 10 a.m. on Friday.
Elena Roca gets singles action started at 11 a.m. when she faces Naz Karagoz from Tulane. Roca will be featured in Flight one.
The three-day tournament will feature the Golden Eagles without their seniors Alex Kitchen and Carolin Drescher. The duo will be in Palisades, Calif. competing in the Pre-Qualifying doubles round of the Riviera/ITA All-American Tournament.
This will be the first time the pair have been invited to the tournament and will face Tobita and Sangwan from Oregon Sunday morning at 9:00 a.m.
